Want Your Ambient Music on the Radio? Check Out These Stations

As an ambient music artist, you probably want to get your music out there to as many people as possible. One way to do this is to submit your music to radio stations that specialize in ambient music so here are some of the best ambient music radio stations to submit your music to:

SomaFM:

SomaFM is a popular internet radio station that offers a variety of channels, including several dedicated to ambient music. Here are SomaFM's ambient radio stations:

Deep Space One: This station features ambient and space music, as well as tracks with a cosmic feel.

Drone Zone: As the name suggests, this station focuses on drone music, which often features long, sustained notes and an immersive atmosphere.

Space Station Soma: This station plays a mix of ambient, electronica, and downtempo music, with a focus on creating a spacey, otherworldly vibe.

Groove Salad: While not strictly an ambient station, Groove Salad does play a lot of chill, downtempo tracks that could fit into an ambient playlist.

Each SomaFM station has its own unique vibe, so it's worth checking them all out to find the one that best fits your mood. Here is SomaFMs music submission page:

Hearts of Space:

Hearts of Space is a weekly syndicated radio program that has been broadcasting ambient, space, and contemplative music since 1973. They also have an online radio station that streams 24/7. They accept music submissions and they are particularly interested in music that creates a contemplative atmosphere.

If you are interested in submitting music to them, they accept higher resolution online downloads which have been released and are available for purchase by listeners, either from a retailer, via an online service like Amazon, CD Baby, or Bandcamp.com, or direct from the artist or label's web site. If you are selling online downloads, send them a link to the files in .WAV, ALAC, or FLAC format if possible.

Their e-mail address for Hearts of Space music submissions is: radio@hos.com

Echoes:

Echoes is a daily two-hour radio program that features a mix of ambient space music, new age, and electronic jazz music. They broadcast on 110 public radio stations in the United States. They accept music submissions and you can learn how to submit music here

Still Stream:

Still Stream is an online radio station that streams a wide variety of ambient music. If you want to submit music, you can contact them by sending an e-mail to: info@stillstream.com

Radio Spiral:

Radio Spiral focuses on a wider range of electronic and ambient styles. They accept music submissions and they have a music submission form on their website here

Submitting your music to these radio stations can be a great way to get your music heard by a wider audience. Just make sure that your music fits the station's style and submit it in the format that they request.

MIDI Packs for Music Producers:

Apart from my passion for composing music, I'm also a sample pack producer. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of creating hundreds of sample packs for composers and producers through my own soundware company, Equinox Sounds.

I'm excited to share with you my latest creation: the Full MIDI Tracks Series. These packs feature full compositions in MIDI format that you can use for your personal and commercial music productions, as well as for multimedia projects such as YouTube videos, film soundtracks, video productions, radio/TV programs or commercials, computer games, and library music. Best of all, every MIDI file is 100% Royalty-Free.

As a producer myself, I know how important it is to have access to high-quality sample packs and MIDI files that inspire and help elevate your music production. That's why I take great care in creating each and every MIDI file to ensure it meets the highest standards.

So, if you're looking for fresh inspiration for your music productions, check out my Full MIDI Tracks Series here
